Brut, Langlois-Chateau

In their magnificent region bordering the Loire, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Langlois-Chateau have all the elements to produce excellent wines: 1] diverse soils, mostly limestone [locally called 'tuffeau'] but also flint in Sancerre, 2] quality grape varieties, most of them unique, such as Chenin Blanc for white and sparkling wines as well as Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc for red wines. 3] a temperate oceanic climate conducive to a pleasant life-style. To this natural environment, wine growers and makers have added their ancestral know-how, passion and enthusiasm, words which have been resounding since 1885 at Langlois-Chateau and continue to do so.

The grapes come from a selection of 6 quality terroirs: - Côtes de Saumur: sand-limestone - Bas Layon: shale - Haut Layon: clay-limestone - Coteaux St Léger: limestone - Puy Notre Dame: clay-limestone - Montreuil Bellay: clay-limestone
