Verdicchio, Fattoria San Lorenzo 'Vigna di Gino'

Frattoria San Lorenzo is a small estate in the Marche producing lovely Verdicchio from their certified organic vineyards. The Vinga di Gino comes from a vineyard planted Natalino Crognaletti's father Gino with carefully selected vines from across the region.  Fermented in cement with native yeasts, this is a vibrant Verdicchio that captures a more playful side of the grape. Crunchy orchard fruit leaps out on the nose with a touch of hay and earth.  The palate is quite full with a shock of acidity that is saline and mineral. This is a serious bottle of Verdicchio without the price tag to match and great for all kinds of food.
