Prosecco, Giuseppe & Luigi
Giuseppe & Luigi is one of the great, quality wineries in Northeast Italy. Ettore Anselmi first planted vines in 1937 after he bought his first hectare outside the town of Pocenia in the heart of sunny Friuli. Today, brothers Giuseppe and Luigi Anselmi continue the family estate. They both studied enology at schools in Trentino, and have traveled to the Veneto and Tuscany to visit other quality wineries and learn new techniques. The local success of their wines has grown the estate to 80 hectares of vineyards. Each wine is produced with moderate yields, temperature controlled fermentation and no oak. To produce wines at this high level of quality combined with tremendous value is amazing. The Pinot Grigio, Friulano, and Prosecco production all come from estate vineyards that are farmed with great care; in the cellars no detail is over looked. The wines are clean, expressive, delicious, and full of life.
