It’s called Vermentino in Sardinia, Pigato in Liguria, and Rolle in the south of France. Favorita is the Langhe name for one of Italy’s most important white grapes.
The sister wine to Attimo's Arneis, the grapes are selected from vineyards located in the western Roero in the commune of Santo Stefano Roero, which is known for their pure sand soils and marine sediments. This translates to the wine floral notes of acacia, bright acidity and amazing depth. Fermentation in stainless steel helps preserve the vibrancy and freshness while subtle lees contact adds richness and complexity. This Favorita is mineral-driven, with citrus and tropical fruits, and a long, fresh saline finish. Inspires thoughts of sunshine and suntan lotion. Bottled in Denver.
