Bordeaux Blend, Paul Barre 'Leeloo'

60% Merlot/40% Cabernet Franc

Domaine Paul Barre is located in the Libournais, in Bordeaux. It was created by Paul Barre and is managed by his son Gabriel, who now works with his wife Edith. The vineyards are located in Fronsac and Canon-Fronsac and are entirely planted with red grape varieties. The vineyard is managed and certified in biodynamic agriculture.

The Leeloo cuvée refers to the movie The Fifth Element: when the vintage allows it, Leeloo is the Fifth Element of Domaine Paul Barre. This 2019 vintage is a blend of Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Franc (40%) aged in vats.
